Sandra L. Piescienski, 72, died Oct. 11, 2017, at her residence in Northampton. She was the wife of Keith A. Piescienski for 29 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Mary Lou (Solderich) Best.

She was an instructional assistant for Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21 for 15 years until she retired in 2014.

She was an auxiliary member of Northampton Fire Department.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard VanVliet of Easton and Greg and his wife Rorie VanVliet of Emmaus; a daughter, Amy and her husband Larry Snyder of North Catasauqua; a sister, Roseanne and her husband Martin Ritter of Allentown; and eight grandchildren.
