Robert F. Schoenly

Robert F. Schoenly, 73, of Emmaus, died Oct. 18, 2017, in his residence. He was the husband of Claudine M. (Cressman) Schoenly with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Raymond H. and Arlene (Keyser) Schoenly.

He was an assembler for Mack Trucks, Inc., for 38 years, retiring in 2003.

He was a life member of the Mercantile Club of Emmaus and Citizens Fire Company #2, Emmaus. He was a member of the UAW Local #677 and WEONA hunting camp. He supported everyone involved with Schoenly Racing and was a former member of the Checkered Flag fan club. He was an avid Emmaus sports fan and loved cheering on his grandchildren at all their sporting events.

He is survived by his wife, sons, Bart R. and his wife Tina, of Emmaus and Brett R. and his wife Lisa, of Emmaus; and five grandchildren, Tayllor, Blaire, Cooper, Allison and Emma.

There will be a memorial service 1 p.m. Oct. 29 at Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. There will be a visitation noon to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
