Mildred “Millie” L. Kurtz, 92, of Fullerton, died Oct. 12, 2017, at Cedarbrook. She was the wife of the late David P. Kurtz.
Born in Fullerton, she was a daughter of the late Clarence R. and Elizabeth G. (Hammerly) Gilbert.
She was a 1942 graduate of Whitehall High School.
She was a seamstress at the former Fuller Sportswear until she retired in 1986 as a vested member of UNITE.
She was earlier in life a cook and waitress at the old Fullerton Fire Hall.
She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fullerton.
She was a life member of the ladies auxiliaries of Fullerton Fire Company No. 1 and Fullerton American Legion Post 367.
She is survived by a daughter, Evon C. and her husband Donald Oswald of Whitehall; three grandchildren, Cindy and her husband Stephen Szlasa, Lee and his wife Tracy Held and Debra Held; a great-granddaughter, Drew; four great-grandsons, Jared, Eli, Owen and Spencer; a niece, Lynn Gilbert; a nephew, Kenneth and his wife Marlene Gilbert; a godson, Keith and his wife Maureen Jones; and extended family.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Franklin Gilbert.
