Karen Schmehl, 68, of Emmaus, died Oct. 22, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late William L. F. and Mary J. (Gasper) Schmehl.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus, where she sang in the choir.

She was a school teacher at Harry S Truman Elementary School, Salisbury Township, for nearly 35 years until retiring.

She was an avid “Snoopy” fan and collector.

She is survived by sisters, Joan, Carol Weisser (William), and Laurie (Dr. Vince Shen); brothers, John (Susan) and Charles (Donna); nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 10:15 a.m. Oct. 27, at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus, followed by 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus. A viewing will be held 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and 9 to 10:15 a.m. Oct. 27 in the funeral home.
