Last week was Homecoming. Seniors won the decoration contest at this year’s pep rally with the theme of Dr Seuss’s “Oh the Places You’ll Go.” Juniors won both the spirit contest and the man dance competition. Congratulations to the juniors and seniors.
Oct. 13 was the football game where the Falcons competed against the Northern Lehigh Bulldogs. Congratulations to the Falcons, who won the game. Finally to end the Homecoming season, students were able to show off their dance moves at this year’s Homecoming dance held Oct. 14.
Still have Homecoming fever? Come support the Falcons at their next away game Oct. 27 against their arch rivals – Southern Lehigh. They will have the chance to take back possession of the Helmet Trophy.
Students should check their grades and complete any missing assignments, as Nov. 2 is the end of the quarter. Report cards will be posted on the Sapphire Community Portal, an online program which allows students to check their grades daily.
Interested in supporting the Salisbury students? Key Club is selling Florida fruit until Oct. 27. Community members interested in supporting Key Club should talk to a member or call the school at 610-797-4107.
On Nov. 12, support the Salisbury Twirlers by participating in a purse bingo noon to 1 p.m. at Salisbury Middle School. Too many purses? There will also be a chance to win Longaberger baskets or enter in raffles. Come support the twirlers.
Looking ahead, students will have off Nov. 6 and 7 for election day.
The Salisbury High School Theatre Department will present, “Almost Maine,” 7 p.m. Nov. 9 through 11 and 3 p.m. Nov. 12. Make sure to mark your calendars.
