Edward J. Zamborsky, attorney
Attorney Edward J. Zamborsky died Oct.16, 2017. He was the husband of Marykay (Barnes) Zamborsky for 51 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Dr. Edward and Helen (Gresko) Zamborsky.
He attended Allentown High School, graduated from Moravian Academy, Lehigh University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and Villanova Law School with a juris doctor degree. He was a military police officer and CID investigator at Fort Eustis, Va., during the Vietnam War; he received commendations from the Office of the Provost Marshal and the FBI.
An attorney, he was admitted to the United States Supreme Court; United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania; Pennsylvania Supreme Court; Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court and Superior Court of Pennsylvania. He was an assistant district attorney, assistant solicitor for Lehigh County, solicitor for the FOP, solicitor for the Lehigh County Medical Society, a former president of the Family Law section, a board director of the Lehigh County Bar Association, a former Council member of the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar. He was an adjunct professor in real estate and family law for the paralegal programs at Penn State - Allentown campus and at Lehigh Carbon Community College.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Stephen and his wife Marcella and children John and Alexander Zamborsky; a daughter, Kathryn and her husband John Haggerty and children Brady, Callie, Riley and Conner; a sister, Barbara and her husband Ronald Stone; two brothers, Donald and his wife Kathy and Joseph and his wife Lisa; and nephews and nieces and their families.
He was predeceased by a brother, John.
