Chess match set for Nov. 4 Northampton Community College will hold the Horizons for Youth 16th Annual Fall Youth Scholastic Chess Championship Nov. 4 on the second floor of the College Center, Green Pond Road.

Both rated and non-rated sections are available. There is a discount for pre-registration until Nov. 2.

Anesthesia program to launch in 2018

Cedar Crest College’s Nurse Anesthesia Program is scheduled to launch in the fall of 2018.

The program is pending approval from the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Program, which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

The classes, for post baccalaureate registered nurses seeking certification in anesthesia and doctoral education, will be held in a classroom or simulation laboratory, while all MSN and DNP courses are offered online.
