Brenda Grace Missmer, 71, of Walnutport, died Oct. 8, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of Claude Missmer for 37 years.
Born in Danielsville, she was a daughter of the late Howard and LaRue Betty (Vogel) George.
She was last employed as a clerk for Cigna Insurance Company, Bethlehem. She earlier was a packager for Keystone Foods, Easton, for three years.
She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church, Allentown, where she was instrumental in organizing and ministering to shut-ins and hospitalized congregational members.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Ronica Bosga of Klecknersville; a stepson, Bruce Todd and his wife Cathy Missmer of Allentown; two brothers, Dwight F. George and his wife Chun Ling of Anniston, Ala., and Keith H. George of Frackville; two sisters, Donna L. Nonnemacher of Allentown and Lynn M. and her husband John Farkas III of Coplay; three grandsons, Anthony and Nicholas Bosga and Jesse Shellock; nieces; and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Kevin Shellock.
