Richard Edwin Danner, 84, of East Texas, died Oct. 11, 2017. He was the husband of Emily A. (Lehr) Danner. They were married for 62 years in March. Born in East Texas, he was a son of the late Edwin and Viola (Litzenberger) Danner.

He was a sheet metal worker for over 50 years in union local 19.

He was a member and former church council president of St. Paul’s Lutheran, Breinigsville, a past president of the Lower Lehigh Lions Club, a past president of the East Texas Playground Association and a former superintendent of East Texas Sunday School.

He was a member of Lehigh County and Lower Macungie Fire Police and served on the board of St. Paul’s Cemetery in Trexlertown.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Richard and his wife, Dori, of Hillsgrove, Jeffrey and his wife, Gladys, of Arizona, and Mark and his wife, Petra, of Germany; brother, Ralph and his wife, Judy, of East Texas; grandchildren Justin, Lisa, Nina and Kailee; great-grandchildren Natalie, RJ, Sage and Mackenzie.
