Norman E. Boyer

Norman E. Boyer, 95, of Alburtis and formerly of Brookview Apartments, died Oct. 11, 2017, in the home of his son, Richard. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth M. (Keeney) Boyer. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Earl N. and Emily M. (Knecht) Boyer.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a welder for Mack Trucks for 45 years, retiring in 1986. After retiring, he worked at McNabb’s Service Station and Dorney Park.

He was a member of St. Paul’s UCC, Trexlertown.

He was a life member of Wescosville Fire Co. and Egypt VFW Post #7293. He was also a member of Topton American Legion Post #217 and a former member of Trexlertown Rural Sportsman Association, Ranger Lake Rod & Gun Club and Grouse Hall Rod & Gun Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by sons, Richard N. and his wife Julie, of Alburtis, John M. and his wife Tammy, of Cetronia; daughter, JoAnne E. and her husband Terry Miller, of Leather Corner Post; brothers, Charles, of Guthsville, Wilfred and his wife Nancy, of Sellersville; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Gary C., a sister Ellen Berger and companion Margie Galloway.

Contributions may be made to the church.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Oct. 21 at St. Paul’s UCC, 1249 Trexlertown Road, Trexlertown. A calling hour will be held 9 to 10 a.m. Oct. 21 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
