Arthur Peter Pappas Sr., 75, of Lower Macungie Township, died peacefully Oct. 10, 2017. He was the husband of Katherine A. (Ramsey) Pappas. They would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in November. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of the late Peter and Mary (Damalas) Pappas.
He was a vice president of human resources for Alpo for 23 years, retiring in 1988.
He was a state high school wrestling champion for West High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a 1964 alternate Olympic Greco Roman wrestler for the USA team in Tokyo, Japan.
He was a lifelong Cleveland Brown fan.
He enjoyed woodworking as his favorite hobby.
He is survived by his wife; children, Arthur P. Jr., of Cleveland, Susan and her husband Michael McDermott, of Allentown, Elizabeth Cooper, of Wellsboro, and Kristine and her husband Lance Evina, of Allentown; cousin, Estelle Callas; grandchildren, Lauren, Caitlin, Michael, Kevin, Colin, Jonathan and his wife Cassie, Joshua, Nicole, Mary Kate, Abigail, Emily, Brodin, Jilian. He was predeceased by a brother, Constantine and son-in-law, Russell Cooper.
Arrangements were made by the O’Donnell Funeral Home, Allentown.
