LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

FALCON INSIDER

With the beginning of October, students have caught Homecoming fever.

Students are preparing for the day’s events in different ways. Choreographers and dancers have been practicing to produce a “man dance.” Artists are putting the finishing touches on their Homecoming decorations. As a reminder, the Homecoming game is Oct. 13 and the dance is Oct. 14.

The Homecoming parade will begin 5:15 p.m. Oct. 13. Student Government Advisory encourages township residents to sit along the parade route which starts at Harry S Truman Elementary School; left on Salisbury Road; left on Tweed Avenue; right on Montgomery Street, concluding at the high school. Come out to the game to support the Falcons. The Falcons will face the Northern Lehigh Bulldogs.

Today, Oct. 11, all students in 11th grade and some students in 10th grade took the PSATs. These are the practice test for the SAT and are a timed test.

Salisbury High School’s Literary Club, a group that reads books and organizes events for the community, is going to Kutztown University Oct. 18 to hear Sharon Flake talk about her young adult books. Students will then have a tour of the university and enjoy lunch on campus before returning to their classes.
