Otto C. Saling, 84, of Catasauqua, died Oct. 3, 2017, at his residence.

Born in New York City, N.Y., he was a son of the late Ludwig and Louise (Hacker) Saling.

He was a combat engineer in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a pharmacy assistant for Hackensack Medical Center for many years until he retired.

He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by a niece, Tina Crossley; and two great-nieces, Kaitlynn and Jacqueline Crossley.

He was predeceased by a brother, Louis; and a nephew, Jesse Crossley.
