Fullerton: Zumba to benefit chemo patients

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., will be hosting a Chemo Bag Zumbathon 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 13.

The Chemo Bag is a nonprofit, growing organization that raises money to deliver gender-neutral bags to first-time chemotherapy recipients.

These bags contain various items to help pass the time while patients receive treatments - lip balms for chapped lips, puzzle books to keep the boredom at bay, crocheted lap blankets for chilled bodies, hard candies or lemon drops for dry mouth, etc.

Donations of Chemo Bag items are currently being accepted and collected. To donate, go to thechemobag@gmail.com.

For more information, contact Cheryl at 610-502-0411.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church would like to remind parishioners of ways to help the school earn points. The Giant A+ program allows families with a bonus card to designate St. Elizabeth Regional School as a choice for the Giant A+ program; the code is 23432.

Just log on to giantfoodstores.com/aplus and follow the directions.

Another choice is Redner’s Save-A-Tape. The school receives 1 percent of sales for each dollar you spend; the cash register receipt must say “save a tape.”

Thirdly, please continue to save BoxTops for Education. Put them in the container in the church foyer, or drop them off at the school.
