Fall is finally here! There are lots of activities going on this month in our schools and the township in general.

There will be a Coffee with a Cop event at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 4 in the main entrance near the cafeteria.

On Oct. 6, Harry S Truman Elementary School will hold its annual Heavenly Hat Day. Students are able to wear a hat of their choosing and are asked to make any donation they are able to go toward the Heavenly Hat charity. This program uses money raised to buy new hats for children who are affected by medical diagnoses that cause them to lose their hair. It’s a day guaranteed for some awesome hats in the school.

Please remember all Salisbury Township School District schools will be closed Oct. 9.

The next school board meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11 in the administration building.

Salisbury High School will hold the annual homecoming game Oct. 13. The annual homecoming dance will be held 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 14.

SHS will have picture retakes available Oct. 17.

Looking forward, remember all Salisbury schools will dismiss early Oct. 20. SHS and Salisbury Middle School will dismiss 10:45 p.m. and HST and Western Salisbury Elementary School will dismiss 1 p.m.

Remember also to register for the third annual Community Breakfast at SHS 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 11. Breakfast is free but residents must register, which can be done at www.salisburysd.org/breakfast. Hope to see you there.

The Franko Farm Yard Waste Drop-off site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 10 and 14.
