Catasauqua: Basket social planned
Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., will be having a basket social, featuring many different baskets, 4-7 p.m. Oct. 6 and 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 7.
There will also be a bake sale, flea market tables and food. The food available for purchase Friday will be hot dogs, barbecue, potato salad, pierogies, potato chips, pickles and hot and cold beverages. Saturday morning breakfast will consist of eggs, pancakes, meat, home fries, doughnuts and hot and cold beverages.

St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road, is holding a gift card bingo 7 p.m. Oct. 6 in the fellowship hall. There will be 20 games, plus specials.
Doors open 5 p.m., and the kitchen will be open to purchase food and drinks.
Tickets are available at the church office between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. or at the door.
St. Paul’s is also holding its annual basket social 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 7 and 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Oct. 8 in the fellowship hall. The drawing takes place 1:45 p.m. Oct. 8.
Light refreshments will be available to purchase from the kitchen.

Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association will celebrate its 12th annual Fest O’ Fall noon-5 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Biery House, 8 Race St. Rain date is Oct. 8.
There will be many family activities, including a hay ride, kids crafts, scarecrow and bird feeder building, Boo Boutique, nut toss, obstacle course, food, music, bake sale and much more. There also will be craft items for sale in the witch craft store in the Biery House.
While there, visit the museum and art gallery of Catasauqua history.
The George Taylor House will be open for tours.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Fourth and Pine streets, will be having its spaghetti dinner 4-7 p.m. Oct. 7. The full-course meal includes spaghetti, meatballs or meat sauce, salad, endless dessert bar and beverages.
Take-out meals also will be available.

Bingo will be held at St. Mary’s Parish Center, 122 W. Union St., 1 p.m. Oct. 8. The kitchen will be open 11:30 a.m. for sit-in or take-out meals.
