The St. Luke’s University Health Network announced the opening of its new Baby and Me Support Center, calling it the “first of its kind in the area.” At a dedication reception Sept. 9, hospital representatives were joined by Bethlehem Mayor Bob Donchez and State Representative Michael Schlossberg (D-132).
Jared King, SLUHN service line administrator for women’s and children’s services, said the facility fills a certified need in care.
“We’ve created a warm welcoming environment,” King said, “and it will house some of the most amazing experts to help parents and babies.”
The Baby and Me Support Center will offer “pediatric services, support groups, lactation consultations, postpartum wellness services and a play area.” It is located at 1425 Eighth Avenue in Bethlehem.
Improvements were funded with support from the St. Luke’s Auxiliary.
