There will be a public open house at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at Nitschmann MS, 1002 W. Union Blvd.

About 800 plus students attend the school, which is next to the former building that is currently is being razed.

Some of the razed area is slated to become a bus lane and a parking lot. The Eighth Avenue and Union Boulevard corner will be an athletic field.

No reservations are necessary to attend the open house.
