Stephen G. Kerbacher

Stephen “Kerby” G. Kerbacher, 86, of Northampton, died Sept. 15, 2017, at home. He was the husband of the late Mildred M. (Castle) Kerbacher.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Grohotulsky) Kerbacher.

He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He worked for Lehigh County’s utility maintenance department for seven years until he retired in 1996. He owned and operated Kerbacher’s TV and Appliance Repair, Northampton, from 1965 until 1990.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Allentown.

He was a life member of Tri-Boro Sportsmen Association, Northampton, and Northampton Leiderkrantz. He was a member of Slatington Skeet and Sporting Association, Jim Thorpe Sportsman Club and American Legion Post 945, Wormleysburg.

He is survived by a son, Stephen J. and his wife Sheri of Northampton; a daughter, Jane A. and her husband David McCarthy of Northampton; five grandchildren, Stefani and her husband Max Fink of Walnutport, Taylor and Joseph Kerbacher and Jordan and Kaitlyn McCarthy; a great-granddaughter; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by two grandsons, Stephen and Scott Kerbacher.
