Richard “Dick” W. Kline Sr. died Sept. 21, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Rita (Kulhamer) Kline.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Ralph and Helen (Kleppinger) Kline.

He was a 1952 graduate of Allentown High School. He earned an electric technician associate degree.

He was in the U.S. Air Force for four years during the Korean War.

He was a technician for 40 years at Business Machinery.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Fullerton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Richard Jr. and his wife Patricia and Robert and his wife Sarah; two daughters, Renee Kline and Rochelle and her husband Gary Sapienza; five grandchildren, Richard W. Kline III, Gabrielle Sapienza, Ryan Kline, Paige Sapienza and Kasey Kline; a goddaughter, Stacey Paige; two brothers, Ralph Kline of Willow Grove and Kenneth and his wife Kathleen Kline of Pottsville: nieces; nephews; and extended family.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth and her husband Charlie Spalding of Allentown and Doris and her husband Bill Katkowski; and a sister-in-law, Marion Kline. There will be a calling time 8:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m., both Sept. 29 at the church, 618 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall, 18052.
