John C. Muhr, 64, of Egypt, died Sept. 19, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg campus, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Shirleen L. (Meckel) Muhr for 45 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John and Harriet (Benninger) Muhr.
He was a 1971 Northwestern Lehigh High School graduate.
He was a materials handler and a supervisor for East Penn Manufacturing (DEKA Battery) for 45 years.
He was a member of Ranger Rod and Gun Club, North Whitehall Township. He was affiliated with Lehigh Valley Hog Chapter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Troy and his companion Christine Wagner of Whitehall and Jay and his wife Laura of Northampton; four grandchildren, Ella, Trystan, Owen and Audra; four sisters Phyllis Seibert of Breinigsville, Doris and her husband Larry Miller of Slatington, Shirley and her husband Joseph Betz of Slatington and Margaret and her husband Jeffrey Weller of Kempton; a brother, Alvin of New Smithville; nieces and nephews.
