The third annual Salisbury community breakfast will take place 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 11. This event is open to all Salisbury residents, district employees and alumni. Held in the high school cafeteria, the menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee and juice. The breakfast is free but a reservation is required by Nov. 6 at www.salisburysd.org/breakfast. Sounds yummy!
The Western Salisbury Elementary PTA will host a restaurant night 4 to 10 p.m. Sept. 28 at Ice Cream World in Allentown. Bring the whole family for an end of summer treat and WSE PTA receives 10 percent of the purchase when participants show the fundraiser flyer. Anyone in need of a flyer should contact Ken Kaough at kkaough1010@gmail.com. He will be happy to help.
Salisbury High School has a few events coming up. At 6 p.m. Sept. 28, there will be a dual enrollment meeting in the auditorium. Immediately following will be an open house 6:45 to 9 p.m. I always love to go to open house to see if my child’s perception of the teacher matches mine.
Financial aid night at SHS will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 2. This is a great informational meeting if you have a junior or senior preparing to go to college.
All Salisbury Township schools will be closed Oct. 9 for a teacher professional development day.
An operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. Oct. 2 at the administration building.
The monthly school board meeting will take place 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at the administration building.
Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church will hold a community breakfast 8 to 11 a.m. Oct. 14. A donation is suggested. All proceeds benefit the CROP Walk.
The Devonshire drop-off will be open Sept. 30, Oct. 3 and 7. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
