James M. McDaid, 75, of Macungie, died Sept. 19, 2017, in his home. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Patrick and Ann (McGee) McDaid.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia. He was a retired computer programmer.
In his retirement, he most enjoyed discussing politics, history and sports and spending time with his sons and eight grandchildren.
He is survived by sons, James M. Jr. of Basalt, Colo., Patrick J. and his wife Peggy, of Lower Macungie Township, Brian C. and his wife Corinne, of Rydal, and Kevin C. and his wife Stacy, of Brielle, N.J.; brother, John P., of Laguna Hill, Calif., sister, Marie T. and her husband John E. McGinley, of Plymouth, former spouse, Constance D., of Jamison and eight grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
