With October fast approaching, students are preparing for Homecoming.
T-shirts were on sale this past week in the colors of white, orange, yellow and pink, so students could wear them to the Homecoming game.
To kick-off Homecoming, students will participate in spirit week, where they will have the opportunity to show off their school spirit by participating in many different themes throughout the week.
The annual powder puff game will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 11 in the stadium, which is where girls in the high school form teams and compete. Please come and support the Salisbury girls as they take the field.
Each high school class is also preparing for the Homecoming pep rally. Students have begun practicing and choreographing the man dance, which will be performed at the pep rally. Artistic skills have been put to the test, as students begin drawing and cutting paper for decoration themes for the pep rally.
Just before this year’s game, Oct. 13, the annual homecoming parade will begin 5:15 p.m. at Harry S Truman Elementary School and will move on to Salisbury Road, Tweed Avenue and Montgomery Street before reaching the high school for the start of the game. Please come out to the streets to support the Falcons! Homecoming dance tickets will soon be on sale.
Salisbury High School will host an open house 6:45 p.m. Sept. 28. If you are taking a class which can be accredited at Seton Hall and are interested in more information, attend the dual enrollment meeting 6 p.m.
