Catasauqua: Hartzell’s will present family program

A free program on family care-giving - and deciding when it’s time to get help - will be presented 6 p.m. tonight, Sept. 28, by Hartzell’s Pharmacy. The event will take place at Public Library of Catasauqua, 302 Bridge St.

Putting a senior care plan in place can be a difficult task to handle alone. Knowing which options to choose from becomes overwhelming at times. Learn about the best options available to address your loved one’s medical and safety needs at this event.

A free community lunch will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 2 at Salem United Church of Christ, 615 Third St. Everyone is welcome!

Catasauqua American Legion, 330 Second St., holds bingo every Wednesday. The doors and kitchen open 5:30 p.m., and bingo starts 7 p.m.

There are 22 regular games, specials, a 50/50 and two jackpots.

Designing native home gardens will be the theme of Linc Coffin’s presentation at the Catasauqua Garden Club’s Oct. 4 meeting, set for 1 p.m. at the Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua. If there is time, Coffin, a Pennsylvania master gardener, will also give an update on the invasive Spotted Lanternfly.

Members who are bringing items for judging are reminded to have them in place early so the meeting can start on time. Interested garden-friendly visitors are always welcome.
