Tom DelMastro died suddenly on Sept. 15, 2017. He was hospitalized after surgery and had suffered many setbacks.

He lived his young adult life in the Pennhurst Institution and then moved into a Lifepath (Airport Road) community home in 1998.

He presented training events across Northeast Pennsylvania on what it was like to live in the Pennhurst Institution.

He was an advocate, volunteer, friend, helper, Good Samaritan, disc jockey, trainer, patriot, collector, music lover, artist, comedian and lover of life. He volunteered with Second Harvest, Musikfest, Christkindlemart, Arts Quest, Rejoicing Spirits and LifePath, for which he received many accolades and awards.
