Brucie J. Gbur, of Bethlehem, died Sept. 19, 2017, at her home. Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Ruth (Erney) Fackenthall. She was the wife of the late Stephen Gbur.
She was a 1951 Liberty High School graduate.
She worked for nine years at the First National Bank, Bethlehem, and at Lehigh Valley Trust, Allentown.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Helping Hands, a greeter and worked in the kitchen during many Bible School years. She was a Sunday school teacher for 31 years at Calvary Baptist Church and St. Thomas and Trinity U.C.C. She at Calvary Baptist Church. She belonged to many Bible Study groups.
She was a member of the Tuesday Club of the Y.W.C.A. of Bethlehem and was a four year past president.
She is survived by two sons, Mark of Bethlehem and David and his wife Maria of Aston; a daughter, Wendy and her husband Kenneth Madden of Nazareth; four grandchildren Amanda and her husband John Keirle, Peter Gbur, and Hannah and Allison Madden; two great-grandchildren, Julianna and Cameron Keirle; and a niece, Carol and her husband Frederick Bachl.
She was predeceased by two siblings, Gordon Fackenthall and Claire Peters.
