Robin A. Bierman

Robin A.. Bierman, 61, of Allentown, died peacefully Sept. 3, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the daughter of Freida (Hottenstein) and the late Edward Shisslak.

She was a graduate of Salisbury High School.

Her career was caring for others, people and animals alike. She ran the Hazleton Animal Shelter for several years, became a certified massage therapist, worked as a dog groomer, a nursing home aide, an assistant to the blind and even a clown in her early years. She excelled in the hospitality field because of her friendly persona and outgoing demeanor.

She is survived by her children, Eliza (Brett) Moyer and Joshua (Nina) Bierman; grandchildren, Sophie, Ron and Dante; siblings, Edward (Amy), Roxanne (Jerry), Denise (Chris) and Jeffrey (Deanna); mother; her dog Mabel as well as countless other family and friends. She was predeceased by her father and ex-husband and friend David Bierman.

Memorial contributions may be made to Forgotten Felines & Fidos of Germansville or to St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem.

A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m. Oct. 8 at Ontelaunee Park, New Tripoli.
