Bernadine M. Hancharik, 84, of Manor Care West Allen; formerly of Emmaus, died Sept. 16, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Hancharik, who died in 2011. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Randolph M. and Julianna (Lang) Yale.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by daughters, Valerie (Edward) Alpha, Michele (David) Steele; son, Joseph A.; sisters, Sylvia (Joseph) Tognoli, Kathleen (Ronald) Bower; grandchildren, Eden (Kevin) Guri, Julianna Alpha; great-grandchildren, Hope and Breydan Guri.

Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Sept. 21 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th St., Emmaus. A visitation will be held 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
