An unexpected downpour brought a black cloud over Northampton’s Sept. 15 contest against Easton. While much of the Lehigh Valley remained dry, almost all of the 4-1 Red Rover victory was played in torrential rain at Northampton’s Kremus Field.
The Red Rovers led 3-0 at halftime, but Northampton struck first in the second half with a goal from freshman Russell King. Easton would answer late in the second half for the 4-1 final.
The K-Kids fell to 1-3-1 on the season.
Northampton travels to Central Catholic on Sept. 21 before hosting Pocono Mountain West on Sept. 23.
Northampton would earn a 2-1 victory over Freedom on Tuesday afternoon. However no other information was available at Press time.

Northampton girls soccer team picked up a 3-0 win over Freedom at home.
The Kids got a first half goal and then added two more in the second half.
Abigail Czarnecki factored in on all three goals, collecting two tallies and assisting on the other. Alexandra Benedict picked up the Kids other goal and also had an assist in the win. Autumn VanHorn also had an assist in the win.
The girls travel to Emmaus Sept. 20 in a game that’s past Press deadlines.
Camerone Giancaterino and the boys soccer team battled Easton and the rain.
