Hiram S. Redmond

Hiram S. Redmond, 62, of Palmerton, died Sept. 6, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Laurie A. (Pankevitch) Redmond for 35 years.

Born in New Orleans, La., he was a son of the late John A. and Celeste (Creel) Redmond.

He was a foreman/refractory technician for Cornerstone Industries, Bowmanstown, for 25 years until he retired in 2010.

He attended Northampton Assembly of God.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Melissa and her husband Edward Cesanek of Lansford; a granddaughter, Leah Baldwin, with whom he resided; three sons, Michael Redmond of Lehighton, Christopher and his wife Raeann Redmond of Breinigsville and Anthony Saslo of Kunkletown; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Susan and her husband Roger Phillips of Elkins, W.V., and Mary and Arlene Magee, of Louisiana; two brothers, Joe Earl and A.J. Magee, of Louisiana; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Michael Redmond and Lloyd Magee.
