There will be a public dedication ceremony for ‘Lotus Pond’, a new garden mural, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 23 at Café The Lodge, 427 E. Fourth St. The artwork, hashtag: #educationisnotacrime, is a reproduction of one of Lehigh Valley resident Hong Tatt Foo’s paintings.

The artist and Ian Panyko, director of CTL, will speak about the importance of education and to increase awareness of the many places in the world where people are denied access to education for any reason.

CTL provides employment opportunities for adults with mental illness. Non-residential consumers, as well as people without mental illness, are welcome to become members, take advantage of employment and volunteer opportunities and participate in recreational and educational events.
