Robert C. McKeever, 92, of Emmaus, died Sept. 3, 2017, in the Lehigh Center, Macungie. He was the husband of Dorothy M. (Wenner) McKeever with whom he would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Dec. 7.

He is also survived by a daughter, Lynette (McKeever) Clarke, of Emmaus; and two grandhcildren, Sarah E. Clarke, of Olympia, Wash. and Ian R.C. Clarke, of Portland, Ore.

He was predeceased by a son, Robert D., in 2011.

His life was committed to family, music and faith. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Emmaus, where he was a soloist and performed with the church choir.

He was also a soloist and performer with the Emmaus Chorale choir for many years.

During World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy as a Pharmacist’s Mate, Class III. He was chaplain and choir director on his ship.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
