Students are returning to the routine of high school. With classes in session for almost three weeks now, it won’t be long before student activities begin again.
Model UN, a club where students learn how the United Nations is run and have the opportunity to perform mock trials, began Sept. 8. Keep an eye out for the debate team, a group of students who research and debate topics that relate to what is happening in the world today, as they will be beginning their season shortly.
The theater group has also began working on its fall play, “Almost, Maine.” It’s not too late to sign up. Auditions continue 7 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 13 in the high school auditorium. The stage crew also will meet 7 to 9:30 p.m. The play will run Nov. 9 through 12.
Picture day is Sept. 13.
Don’t forget to sign up for the PSATs. Sophomores can take the PSATs as practice for junior year when all students will be taking the test and be eligible for a scholarship. There is a fee. Registration begins this week and there are a limited amount of practice tests, so sign up as soon as possible.
