Interested in dining out this weekend? Two borough churches have dinners scheduled, and the public is invited. At St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., the congregational community dinner features shepherd’s pie, with creamed cabbage, applesauce, rolls and butter, and beverages from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 16.

At St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., the menu includes Italian fare - spaghetti or baked ziti, with all the fixings - 4-7 p.m. Sept. 16.

Coplay Public Library has an open house at the Fifth Street location 3-6 p.m. Sept. 14.

The library will show a free movie Sept. 16. The 1 p.m. film features “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
