Both Bethlehem Catholic remained undefeated with wins Friday night in the third week of the 2017 high school football season, while Northampton grabbed its second of the young season.

Bethlehem Catholic-Emmaus

The Golden Hawks erased an early Emmaus lead with 21 straight points then held on for a 28-21 win.

Emmaus (1-2) went up 14-0 on two first quarter touchdowns, but the Hawks scored three unanswered touchdowns, capped by Shamus Williams’ interception return for a touchdown with 1:15 left in the first half that gave his team a 21-14 lead.

Emmaus tied the game in the third quarter, but the Hawks sealed the win with a 48-yard Zahir Seabrooks touchdown run with 6:09 left in the game.

Bethlehem Catholic (3-0) piled up 443 yards of offense (249 rushing, 194 passing).

Javon Clements completed 12 of 22 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown. Daizhun Rhodes caught nine passes for 157 yards and one touchdown. Tavion Banks ran for 147 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries.

The Hornets’ Son Ntoh rushed for 150 yards and touchdown in the game.

Whitehall-Nazareth

The Zephyrs outlasted Nazareth, 51-49.

The teams combined for over 1,000 yards of offense with Whitehall (3-0) gaining 576 yards (223 passing, 353 rushing) and the Blue Eagles (1-2) going for 464 (319 pass, 145 run).

The Zephs’ Ethan Parvel completed 15 passes for 223 yards and three touchdowns while running for another 115 and three scores. Devin Boykin ran four times for 113 yards and a touchdown. Joseph Herman caught three passes for 119 yards, all for touchdowns.

Northampton-Pleasant Valley

The Konkrete Kids picked up their second win of the season with a 24-7 victory over the Bears.

Aiden Jones, Josh Smith and Hunter Wacik all ran for touchdowns in the win. Jason Santos kicked a 35-yard field goal and nailed all three extra points for the Kids (2-1)

Wilson-Salisbury

The Warriors broke away from Salisbury with a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns in a 28-7 win.

The Falcons (2-1) only touchdown came on a 90-yard Tim Buda kick return that tied the game with 35 seconds left in the first quarter. Wilson (3-0) answered with a touchdown early in the second quarter and put the game away with two more in the fourth quarter. Job Goodman (27 carries, 95 yards) ran for all of the Warriors’ scores.

Kyle Pingarelli led Salisbury’s offese with 31 yards on eight carries.

Northwestern-Palisades

The Pirates shut out Northwestern, 46-0.

Five different Palisades (3-0) players scored touchdowns, with Jared Colletti and Ethan Brader scoring two each. Colletti piled up 122 yards on just six carries, while teammate Trey Gretzinger had 93 yards on nine carries.

Caleb Clymer led the Tigers (0-3) with three receptions for 41 yards. The Pirates held the Tigers to just 16 rushing yards in the game.
