Robert D. Ernst, 78, of Fullerton, died Aug. 1, 2017.

He was a son of the late Robert C. and Madeline E. (Peckett) Ernst.

He was in the U.S. Army.

He was a stock chaser at Mack Trucks, Allentown, until he retired.

He was a life member of Fullerton Fire Company No. 1. He was active with Whitehall Fire Police for many years.

He was a life member of Howard L. Peter American Legion Post 576, Allentown.

He is survived by extended family; and friends.

He was predeceased by a brother, Lewis J. Ernst.
