Northampton police
Northampton police responded to these and other calls recently.
AUG. 18
The department received a report of two solar lights stolen from a garden in the 1900 block of Lincoln Avenue.
Suspicious activity in the 1500 block of Poplar Street was reported. The complaint said an estranged husband was threatening to come to a residence.
AUG. 19
A hit and run at Redner’s Warehouse Market, 101 Held Drive, was reported to police. A legally parked vehicle was struck, causing damage to the left front bumper. The offending vehicle left the entire right front headlight housing at the scene, which was determined to be from a 2003 Chevrolet Impala.
Police responded to a complaint of criminal mischief at Newport Avenue and West 17th Street. The report said the rear window, rear passenger-side window and windshield of a legally parked vehicle were damaged.
Two males causing a disturbance in the 1800 block of Main Street brought out police to investigate.
An intoxicated male in the 1600 block of Main Street was reported to police.

In the area of the Canal Street Park boat launch, officers investigated a report of littering.
AUG. 23
A female shoplifting at Redner’s Warehouse Market, 101 Held Drive, was reported to the department.
AUG. 24
A reportable accident involving three vehicles brought police to the 2400 block of Cherryville Road.
AUG. 25
Officer checked on a report of a shed being built in the alleyway of the 1300 block of Vienna Street.
A reportable accident involving two vehicles occurred in the 2000 block of Laubach Avenue.
The department received a report of an intoxicated female in the 1900 block of Center Street.
AUG. 27
Officers investigated a child custody violation in the 100 block of West 14th Street.
AUG. 28
At Turkey Hill Minit Market, 1060 Main St., the department received a report of two males shoplifting.
Officers investigated the theft of a wishing well taken from a front yard in the 200 block of West 14th Street. The well was located and returned.
AUG. 30
Suspicious activity by two unwanted females in the 2300 block of Dewey Avenue was reported.
AUG. 31
The theft of a vehicle by a known person in the 200 block of East 24th Street was reported to the department. Police said the vehicle was returned.
