William C. Kuplen, 93, of Bethlehem, died August 28, 2017, at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Theresa (Danyi) Kuplen. He was the husband of the late Catherine “Katie” D. (Yurich) Kuplen for 66 years.
He was an U.S. Army member of amphibious operations in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.
He worked in the construction and maintenance department of Homer Research Laboratory, Bethlehem Steel Corporation, until he retired in July of 1983.
He was a parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
He was a member of the Bethlehem MORA Club Chorus and the Hellertown American Legion.
He is survived by two sons, William F. and his wife Pamela and Frank and his wife Carol; a brother, Frank Kuplen; five grandchildren, Rachael Medero, Rebecca Minford, Tyler Kuplen, Emily Klados and Elizabeth Borino; and nine great-grandchildren, Alexia, Anthony, Gabriella, Kaitlyn, Bella, Brayer, Yianna, Drake and Kallista.
