John Hermanovitch, 89, of Macungie, died Aug. 28, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Shirley J. (Boehm) Hermanovitch. The couple would have celebrated 38 years of marriage Oct. 21. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Samuel and Kathryn (Karbonick) Hermanovitch.

He was a past president, secretary and member of the Hellertown Lions Club.

He was the owner and operator of the former Saucon Beverage Co. and Saucon Food Market in Bethlehem from 1964 to 1978.

He is survived by his wife; children, Dean Stair and his wife Nancy, of Hellertown, Dale Stair and his wife Stacy, of Bethlehem, Doreen Stair and Derrick Stair, both of Allentown and Dawn and her husband James Kelly II; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a niece.
