Edwin V. Strohl, 92, of Macungie, died Aug. 25, 2017, at Lehigh Center surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Consuelo (Guerra) Strohl for 69 years. He was the son of the late Robert and Alice Thomas.

He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as postmaster of Hellertown.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, past member of the Hellertown Lions, American Legion and Cathedral Church Historical Society.

He is survived by his wife; children, Barbara Solito, (Tony), of Bethlehem, Pamela Calabrese, of Macungie and Bruce Strohl (Ellie), of N.C.; grandchildren, Christine, Stephanie, Ryan and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Blaise and Garrett; brother, William. He was predeceased by a sister, Beatrice Eckert.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 6 at The Cathedral Church of the Nativity. Call 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Arrangements were made by the Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
