Dean K. Lakatosh Sr., 83, of Neffs, died Aug. 25, 2017, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of Nancy A. (Balliet) Lakatosh for 61 years.

Born in Slatington, he was a son of the late Joseph Sr. and Cora M. (Valora) Lakatosh.

He was an assembly line worker at Mack Trucks Inc., Macungie, for 25 years before retiring in 1990.

Drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1954, he dedicated much of his life to playing and coaching baseball.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children Dean Jr. and his wife Diane of Northampton, Lee and his wife Patti of Whitehall and Lori Hock and her husband Robert of Walnutport; four brothers Edward Sr. of Iowa, Dale Sr. of Walnutport, Denton of Schnecksville and David Sr. of Schnecksville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert.
