Catherine A. (Turbed- sky) Witczak, 89, of Fullerton, died Aug. 21, 2017, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall. She was the wife of Leo R. Witczak for 66 years.
Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Salovay) Turbedsky.
She was a 1946 graduate of Whitehall High School and a 1949 graduate of Allentown Hospital School of Nursing.
She worked in both the emergency and operating rooms at the former Allentown General Hospital. She was an obstetrical nurse for Dr. Michael Vigilante and Allen Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates for many years.
She was a member of Ss Peter and Paul Polish Catholic Church, Allentown, where she was a pierogie maker.
She was, earlier in life, a volunteer Girl Scout leader.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Dr. Loretta Witczak Keil and her husband Bruce of Allentown; two sons, Jesse and his wife Pamela of Maryland and Joseph and his wife Charlene of Washington; eight grandchildren, Bonni Taylor (Sache), Deanna Keil (Daniel), Garrett Witczak, Alyssa Keil, Lynea Oldfather (William), Michael Nelson, Devon Witczak and Christopher Witczak; and a sister-in-law, Betty Turbedsky of Allentown.
She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Turbedsky.
