Theresa J. Neil, 80, of Allentown, died Aug. 27, 2017, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Terrence R. Neil Sr. They shared 56 years of marriage until his death April 6, 2014. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Terrence F. and Marion (Bowen) Moorehead.
A 1955 graduate of Allentown High School, she was employed by the Allentown Police Department for several years as a crossing guard.
She was a member of Jordan UCC and its choir until she was unable. Previously, she was a member of the former Trinity UCC and its choir.
She was an advisor to the Allentown Order of DeMolay and worked its parking lot at the Allentown Fair for more than 10 years. She was also an advisor and mother advisor for the Allentown Chapter of Rainbow Girls and was a member of Eastern Star, New Temple Chapter No. 298.
She is survived by a daughter, Letitia B. and her husband Ronald E. Forthman, of Salisbury Township; son, Terrence R. Jr., of Wilkes-Barre; granddaughters, Laura E. and her husband Horst J. Lehmann, Lydia W. and her husband Earl A. Peters, Sarah E.; great-granddaughters, Erin E. and Abigail A. Peters, Elsie J. and Emilie A. Lehmann. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, William P. Debus.

Services will be held noon Sept. 1, in Jordan UCC, 1837 Church Road. Call 11 a.m. until service time. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
