Joseph James Horvath, 84, of Bethlehem, died August 21, 2017. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Joseph and Veronica (Olexa) Horvath.

He was the husband of the late Shirley (Frank) Horvath for 58 years.

He served in the U. S. Army.

He worked at Bethlehem Steel. He later was a sorter for the U. S. Postal Service for 30 years and retired in 1997.

He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Bethlehem.

He is survived by a son, Joseph F. and his wife Elizabeth of Bethlehem; a daughter, Virginia Horvath-Hontz and her husband William Hontz of Hanover Township; a sister, Angela Glosan of Hellertown; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
