Barbara Ann (Behney) Williams, 81, of Emmaus, died Aug. 25, 2017, at home with her husband by her side. She was the wife of Frederick “Fritz” Williams. They were married for 60 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Marsch and Kenneth Schildt.

She was a 1954 graduate of Allentown High School.

She worked for more than 25 years at Emmaus Manufacturing Company where she served as chairwoman for the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union for several years.

She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus, where she was an active participant in the women’s group and frequently served as a greeter.

She was a longtime member of the Mercantile Club in Emmaus where she enjoyed dining with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Debra Lynch, of Lower Macungie Township; son, Daniel and his wife Kathy Lauer-Williams, of Emmaus; grandsons, Alec Lynch, of Littleton, Colo. and Rhys, of Emmaus; brother, Douglas Schildt and his wife Patricia, of Schnecksville. She was predeceased by a sister Janet Weiss and her husband Fred, of Allentown.
