Ronald L. Moxey
Ronald L. Moxey, of Emmaus, died Aug. 20, 2017, on his birthday. He was the husband of Jayne (Kuntzleman) Moxey for 56 years. Born in Philadelphia in 1936, he was the son of Louis and Myrtle (Stehlig) Moxey, of Doylestown.
He was a graduate of Central High School in Philadelphia and Muhlenberg College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He ran cross country and track in both high school and college.
Following graduation from Muhlenberg, he served three years as an officer with the Armed Forces Security Group in Norfolk, Va., where he was the officer in charge of the Courier Station. Upon his release from the Navy, he was assistant editor of Compressed Air Magazine (Ingersol Rand Co.) and later joined Lieberman Associates Advertising Agency in Allentown as a copywriter and account executive. He then became a vice president and account manager.
Upon retirement, he worked as a groundskeeper at Lehigh Country Club – a job he loved. An avid reader and writer, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening and running, completing his first marathon at age 58.
He was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit and served on the church council for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife; sons Andrew (Allison), of Emmaus; Timothy (Liz), of Chestnut Hill; daughter, Beth (Jim), of Allentown; brother, Richard (Lorraine), of Doylestown; brother-in-law, Charles Kuntzleman and his wife Beth; grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley, Todd, Timothy, Clare and Thomas.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Aug. 25 in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
