Eleanor A. Carr, 86, of Macungie, died Aug. 12, 2017, in the At Home Health Care Services, Schnecksville. She was the wife of Thomas P. Carr. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary last May. Born in Sharon Hill, Delaware County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph B. and Catherine (McKone) Althouse.

She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Moylan.

She was a banker for the First National Bank of Allentown for 21 years, retiring in 1991.

She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

She enjoyed playing golf.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Carol A. and her husband Robert D. Zimmerman, of Macungie and Karen M. Cerullo. of Bethlehem; son, Andrew T., of Ligonier; grandchildren, Marc D. Zimmerman, Kathryn A. wife of husband Lawrence A. Keich Jr., Michael T. husband of Kristin Zimmerman, Trisha M. Zimmerman, Patrick, husband of Andrea Cerullo and Julia M., wife of Quinn Schaffer; great-grandchildren, Emma M. Keich and Molly M. and Thomas R. Zimmerman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Aug. 16 in the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, 210 N. 18th St., Allentown. Call 10 to 11 a.m. Aug. 16 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
