Whitehall Township Public Library: Reading program party is Aug. 22

The adult summer reading program will end 5 p.m. Aug. 19. Please turn in your reading logs by that date.

The wrap-up party will be 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 22. You may attend either or both!

Come to our party to discuss what you read - the good, bad or whatever. Come share with us and get your prize.

Our fourth Tuesday adult coloring club will meet 11 a.m. Aug. 22. Anyone 18 years old and older is welcome to join us.

Can’t make it to the Tuesday coloring club? Come to our fourth Wednesday adult coloring club 6 p.m. Aug. 23, also for anyone 18 years old and older.

The library has some supplies but invites you to bring your own as well.

Bethlehem Mounted Police will be at the library 5 p.m. Aug. 22. Two officers will talk about training and working with the horses.

They also will tell us about their new stable that was built in Bethlehem. You may be able to pet the horses, too!

Come to the picnic area, and bring your own lawn chair.

Our third annual library block party will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 26 in the picnic area. With food, popcorn, yard games, door prizes, free books and deejay Kelly spinning tunes from the 1960s and ’70s, everyone is sure to have a good time.

There will be fun for all ages - kids and adults are all invited!

Food will be $1, and drinks will be a quarter!

Intro to Genealogy will be held 10 a.m.-noon Sept. 16 and 6-8 p.m. Sept. 21. Let us help you figure out where your family came from.

Library director Patty Vahey will show you how to use our Ancestry and Heritage Quest databases to search for records, documents and some of our research items found in the PA collection at the library.

The Friends of the Library group will sponsor a bus trip to Grounds for Sculpture Oct. 4. We will leave the library 8:30 a.m., leave Grounds for Sculpture 3:30 p.m. and return back to Whitehall around 5:30 p.m.

Reserve a seat before Sept 1.
