Ruth L. Schaffer, 89, of Northampton, died Aug. 9, 2017, at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Charles Roth and the late Clayton J. Schaffer.

Born in Nazareth, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Clara (Fehr) Granda.

She drove a bus for Leibensperger Bus Company for many years, retiring in 1982.

She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Northampton, where she was a member of the church quilting group.

She was a member of Laurel Fire Company’s ladies auxiliary.

She is survived by a sister, Evelyn and her husband Russell Frey of Wind Gap; stepdaughter, Crystal and her husband Mike Haluka of Allentown; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Larry Roth; two daughters, Carol Ann Coken and Louise Liebensberger; a stepson, Terry Schaffer; five brothers; and one sister.
